Women's Health Fair Wrap-Up
Saturday, May 17, 2008
266 women took a day for themselves and attended the Women's Health Fair, held Saturday, May 17, at the Regency Medical Center. Women of all ages, from 20 to 90, enjoyed the day which included numerous health screenings, free massage, and a luncheon fashion show.
Over 170 took advantage of the $35 complete blood chemistry profile. Of those, several serious abnormal results were found. When this occurs, there is direct contact made to discuss the results and the need for follow-up.
In addition to the low-cost and free health screenings, ladies could speak with professionals about such conditions as diabetes, lupus, arthritis, and alzheimers.
Many volunteers from the hospital, medical community, and general community work to make this day a very special day for women.
